Lyrics - Tracks 26-30
Track 26 – Sweet Communion
Hook:
Hold up this is a sacred moment, it’s nothing less than Divine
Yes it is time to partake of the bread and the wine
So… let’s eat of the bread.. and drink of the wine
Cuz Jesus died to bring us to God
So eat the bread and drink the wine and we’ll have sweet communion
He gave his life once for all time, so we’ll have sweet communion
Verse 1:
Now… take the bread or the cracker or whatever you get
Just hold it for a moment take a second to reflect on Christ
That piece of bread is something that the Lord blessed
Because in communion, it represents the Lord‘s death
The bread in particular represents his torn flesh
that should’ve been mine, and that should’ve been your death
So let’s solemnize this moment again
Whips on His back separated His bones from His skin
Spit in His face from the coldest of men
Beaten and bruised, He was abused, all of it to atone for ya sin
Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted, He
Was crushed for our iniquities as the remedy
To give us peace between us and the Father
It was the will of the Lord to crush Him, He has put Him to grief
Flesh ripped from His body with the cat-of-nine
To save us from this Babylon, they nailed Him to the cross like it was Hammertime
Crown of thorns sink in His head, Jesus He bled for sin
So we eat of the bread because peep what He said
This is My body which is broken for you. Do this in remembrance of Me
This is the key, He went to the tree
And He did it for me
Canceling sin definitively, now forgiveness is free
So when we partake of the bread and the cup
We proclaim the Lord’s death til He comes
Hook:

Verse 2:
Now take the wine or the juice or whatever it is
Hold it a moment, consider how He bled for our sins
A record of was debt was against us, standing with its legal demands
God canceled it when Jesus’s hands
Were nailed to a cross and a sword went thru His side
Jesus Christ was crucified cuz humanity traded the Truth for lies
He died for the sins of you and I, and to remind us of His sacrifice we lift the juice or wine
Christ’s blood was shed, and Jesus said what it represents
It is the blood of the Covenant
Which is poured out for the forgiveness of sins
Offered to God, payment for the redemption of men
What does it mean? Peep the love of our suffering King
Nailed to a cross, sword in His side ruptured His spleen
Seen spilling His blood to redeem His people, scrubbing us clean
Coming to bring salvation to those under His wings
Romans 5 says we have been justified by His blood
Showing His love that while we were still sinners He died for us
But remember that God is a Judge
We must examine ourselves before we partake of the Body and Blood
And repent of our sins, we’re taking it slowly
Understand the Lord’s Table is sacred and holy
So when we partake of the bread and the cup
We proclaim the Lord’s death til He comes

Track 27 – What Kind Of People
Imagine a massive explosion out in the cosmos
Saturn is frozen thru kinesis and then blows into pieces
The blackest of holes exposed by the brightest of lights
unlike anything the universe has ever seen
There’s trembling to sever the nebula never regular
Every molecular compound gets stomped down by the Executor
Checking the detonation as seen in the stars
Reaching the deep and the Zenith of Venus and Mars
God is speaking across the galaxies bringing on
total annihilation for the coldest of violations
He devoted the universe to destruction, we deserve this injunction
Because of the earth’s cursed dysfunction
Since He’s gonna destroy the celestial bodies with heat
What kind of people ought we to be?
We oughta be a merciful people yearning, turning from evil
Spurning illegal practices, learning to be discerning and peaceful
With actions that display a changed life day and night
Counting everything as rubbish that we may gain Christ
Considering the race before us that we run with passion
putting second Corinthians 7, verse one in action
Just imagine He’s gonna destroy everything with great destruction
It ain’t the time to forsake your faith, for the Day of Judgment
Is upon us, let us give thought to the race we’re running
What kind of people ought we to be as we await His coming?
Hook:
It’s time we look in the mirror
To our God, we need to draw nearer
We ought to be holy and godly
What kind of people are we?
We try and try to get it right
In spite of that internal tug of war we fight
Just to be holy and godly
What kind of people are we?
Stephen the Levite:
It's hard not to assert that the Earth is potentially getting worse
The evidence of the curse Is more prevalent even in the church
Politicians resort to crime, then redraw the lines and call it fine
While the falsely convicted leave prison all the time
Injustice in an abundance. The Lamb won't cover it
when repentance is not an option, too much a risk
Now there's arson up at a judge's crib
because accountability is an offence worthy of punishment
They threaten the threats with truth in procession
They don't want an honest assessment, they respond with aggression
'cause you are the weapon, that's why they try to ruin perception
media is their profession, not politics. It's Parler tricks
deceiving ya's their intention, I'm not convinced, their not convicted
But still want us to call them Christian, though they're not repenting
and that's the biggest flaw in the system
They're pretending that God is with them, when He's staunchly against them
The lie of exceptionalism got 'em thinking they reppin'
I don't expect 'em, but He's patiently waiting for confessions
This government's looking nothing like the Kingdom that's coming
The reign of Jesus who's just and guarantees it's destruction
Since all these things are dissolving what sort of people we ought to be
If we thought really hard, you think God is pleased? Are these the be
attitudes? you do the one-anothers? are you leading with gratitude?
or are you false flaggin' with the baddest fruit?
Hook:
It’s time we look in the mirror
To our God, we need to draw nearer
We ought to be holy and godly
What kind of people are we?
We try and try to get it right
In spite of that internal tug of war we fight
Just to be holy and godly
What kind of people are we?
Track 28 – Lift Every Voice
So I came across the video a cop shot another unarmed black man in the chest
scrolling down I see Philando is next man it’s a mess
Now how we gonna handle his death
now how we gonna channel the stress
for years we’ve been demanding respect
by staying quiet or making riots we stand in protest
chanting black lives matter, but come on who in the hell
really believes it we’re fooling ourselves cats then express
that all lives matter can I spit it bluntly
Answer this question when have we ever mattered in this country
taken from our native land Lack of respect
you ever seen somebody take a man, chain his hands shackle his neck
and make him stand on top of a box to be auctioned off someone else’s property
sold to the highest bidder—“Work harder, jump higher, nigger!”
Imagine the slaves saying, “Black Lives Matter” shackled in chains
Slave master leaving us to bask in our pain shaping our psyche and attacking our brains talking ‘bout all men are created equal
They didn’t mean it cause the way they see it they didn’t consider slaves as people
Even after the Emancipation Proclamation that documentation didn’t bring social modification
Get socked in the face if you look a White man in his eyes
Is that a surprise, please don’t try to rationalize
Then the Ku Klux Klan would arise to actualize the terror we feel and sabotage whatever we build
Torching our businesses, lynching us and burning us alive, bombing our churches while we’re worshiping our God
But it was God that gave us resilience while they were making millions
Off our blood, sweat and tears, taking and building while raping our children
But we still make the choice to bring
Glory to God as we lift every voice and sing
Hook:
Lift every voice and sing
Till earth and heaven ring
Ring with the harmonies of Liberty
Let our rejoicing rise
High as the list’ning skies
Let it resound loud as the rolling sea
From Jim crow and segregation
Then refusing to let us in your institutions
to keep us from an education
No reparations for the devastation it’s a representation of how they view us in this blessed nation
For clarification, humanity’s sterilization, we ain’t hearing it
Remember the Tuskegee experiment
Giving us syphilis while enlisting us in the army to fight for freedoms we weren’t even allowed to enjoy.
How could this ploy of oppression reach out to destroy to keep us oppressed
And this is from a people that is so blessed
But instead of feeling hopeless, we protest, then you hang us from trees
every day we’re living dangerously
We don’t believe you when you say that we’re free
Cuz after everything happening, you’re mad at Kaepernick taking the knee
This is major, the media portrays us as the face of danger.
If I wear a hat, or a hoodie, I’m labeled a gangster.
I’m labeled a thug which then makes it OK for a cop to be addressing me disrespectfully
Then pop me in the chest if he thought that I was threatening
well, I guess that he thought my melanin was my weaponry
This cop should be protecting me, but instead, I’m treated like the enemy
I’m scared that this moment could be the end of me
and if I get shot by the cop that’s when they check police records to see what I did in my past pulling whatever dirt they can find
Searching for crime just to justify why he killed me
African-American male he must’ve been guilty
Officer off on an administrative paid leave, found not guilty no indictment this is crazy. We’re not against the police, but it seems that the police are against us. This is injustice.
But still, we’re gonna rejoice and bring
Glory to God as we lift every voice and sing
Hook:
Lift every voice and sing
Till earth and heaven ring
Ring with the harmonies of Liberty
Let our rejoicing rise
High as the list’ning skies
Let it resound loud as the rolling sea
Track 29 – Trouble Won't Last
Verse 1:
Life is wild it seems like that jawn tryna murder you
Cursing you, but the reality is, it’s purging you
So the trouble in your life is really serving you
Let me give you a verse or two to encourage you
I don’t think there’s a verse more pristine I seen
Than 2 Corinthians 4:16
It reads we don’t lose heart though we’re outwardly wasting away
our inner self is being renewed day after day
This light momentary affliction is preparing an
Eternal weight of glory that’s beyond all comparison
As we look not to the things that are seen
but to the things that are unseen, one thing to peep
Is that our affliction is momentary and light
Our glory is eternal and heavy, so we tarry and fight
Trouble is the first thing that God works in
Be encouraged by 1 Peter 5 verse 10
Hook:
Trouble won’t last always
Trouble won’t last always
Trouble won’t last always
Trouble won’t last always— No
Verse 2:
One thing about life on earth is everything is temporary
even if it last all the way to the cemetery
Trouble in life is something like a preliminary
But still it got me bugging ice cream without the Ben and Jerry
So much of life is unsure it’s feeling scary
But look up the word momentary in the dictionary
It means trouble last only for a moment
We’ve overcome the world cuz of the holy Lord‘s atonement
I say this to encourage y’all but also to encourage myself
When my heart is sick, this is how I nurse it to health
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul
In the midst of trouble, trusting God is goal
The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart
When poisonous darts seem to pierce your soul, there’s a voice in the dark
That points to the God of the Bible, Yes dude He will test you
Then He will come to your rescue
Hook:
Trouble won’t last always
Trouble won’t last always
Trouble won’t last always
Trouble won’t last always— No
Verse 3:
My soul holds on to the promises that he made
in the 32nd chapter of Jeremiah
Versus 37 through 41, His glory comes
to exhort His sons and daughters in Zechariah
Chapter 13 verses 8 and 9 read where it says
that all of God‘s people’s gonna catch the fire
The fire of the Refiner God is gonna refine His people
and clothe us in righteousness, This is the best attire
Trials and tribulations come to work in us, and God is searching us
to rid us of the things that the flesh desires
The Rectifier, He is merciful and gracious
He lifts us up out of the mess and the mire and sets us higher
Not only does he deliver us right but he is the extender of life
Look how he did it for Hezekiah
So we can rest in the sovereignty of God
knowing that our lives are in the hands of our blessed Messiah
Hook:
Trouble won’t last always
Trouble won’t last always
Trouble won’t last always
Trouble won’t last always— No
Track 30 – To God Be The Glory
Hook:
I was lost in sin unrighteous surely
But I’ve been born again, to God be the glory
To God be the glory, yo, to God be the glory
He is worthy of praise for His mercy and grace
Peep the story… God sent His Son to die for me
I’m changed by the Gospel, to God be the glory
To God be the glory, yo, to God be the glory
He is worthy of praise for His mercy and grace, hey
Verse 1:
How can I not lift my hands and do a little dance
Knowing what Jesus did on the cross for such a sinful man
After all of the lusting with a heart of corruption
The sexual immorality, oh God, I’m disgusting
And the wages of sin is death, with every bit of breath I breathe
I’m chasing my wickedness
I can’t change and I’m in a mess
God is holy and He judges sin, I need a Savior to interject, yeah
Cuz I couldn’t escape the punishment, the judg-a-ment
Was covering my head, but God made a covenant instead
The covenant had an abundance of love in it
The Son was sent to the earth to die in my place
Yeah, so I can fly in His grace
Letting go of the world for the sake of having Christ to embrace
Why would God give His life? To show the glory of His grace
I’ve been bought with a price, all honor to Christ
Verse 2:
If God is holy and just and completely righteous
That’s bad news for us and we’re in a crisis
Because God has to punish sin
Because He’s infinitely holy, so God’s wrath is coming in
And being good is never good enough
We’re only putting up a front becuz of pride and we’re full of lust
But how can God express His righteous anger
And at the same time, show mercy and grace and do it like a gangsta
Pouring our His wrath on His only Son
So His enemies are now open to come to the Holy One
So in Christ we go from lust and pride
No trust in God inside to being justified
That means we’re counted righteous, no more crisis
We’re being made into His likeness, no more vices
Now I know what life is, why would God redeem it for me?
Praise His name, to God be the glory
Verse 3:
The Lord God is robed in majesty, He chose a family
For Himself then atoned for their blasphemy
I will never know the gravity of my own insanity
And how He happily granted me amnesty
He submitted Himself to the coldest tragedy
In the history of the whole humanity for my iniquity
He’s chosen agony… He decided to go to Calvary
The dopest strategy to handle my total depravity
No formalities, I’m just a man that’s broken and raggedy
And while the world is choking on vanity
I wrote this rhapsody for the glory of His majesty
And when He returns its finna be a whole catastrophe
Global calamity, they overdosing on fantasy
Soaked in profanity with the days of Noah mentality
But the boat is almost capacity, the world is gonna see
That the glory of God is ultimate reality
